Spending a full academic year in Australia gives you time to truly immerse yourself in Australian culture and school life. The school year typically runs from late January to December and is divided into four terms, often with more time outdoors thanks to the warm climate.

Most students wear uniforms and attend classes in core subjects like English, math, and science. But you’ll also have the chance to explore electives such as marine biology, indigenous studies, media, or even surfing, especially in coastal schools.

After school, Aussie teens stay active and social. Sports like rugby, swimming, cricket, and netball are popular, and students often hang out at the beach or take part in school clubs and local events.
