You’ll live with a host family and discover South African cuisine—a delicious blend of African, Dutch, Indian, and Malay influences. You might try “bobotie”, a flavorful baked meat dish with spices and an egg topping, or take part in a traditional “braai”, South Africa’s famous barbecue and social event. Popular snacks like “biltong” (dried meat) and hearty staples such as “samp” and beans give you a tasty way to connect with local culture beyond the classroom. These shared meals help create unforgettable memories with your host family and friends.

The program cost includes:

• Round-trip international airfare from New York to Europe and South Africa, from Miami to Brazil and Argentina, from Los Angeles to Asia/Pacific.

• Domestic travel from home to international gateway city
