Semester Program In South Korea
A semester abroad in South Korea offers all the core benefits of the program, cultural immersion, language exposure, and meaningful connection—in a shorter, more flexible timeframe.
High school life in South Korea is structured and focused, with students typically studying Korean language and literature, math, science, English, history, and ethics. Schools emphasize academic achievement and respect for teachers and classmates, and uniforms are commonly worn. Outside of class, Korean teens enjoy cafés, shopping districts, karaoke rooms (“noraebang”), and street food markets. Weekends might include exploring Seoul, attending K-pop dance classes, or visiting cultural sites with friends.
As part of your semester abroad, you’ll also take a 2-day cultural trip to Fukuoka, Japan, giving you a chance to explore another vibrant culture during your time in Asia.
