Not quite ready to commit to a full school year or semester abroad? ASSE’s Summer Immersion Program in Denmark is the perfect way to enjoy a shorter yet meaningful international experience.

This high school summer abroad program lets you live like a local, not just visit. You’ll stay with a volunteer Danish host family and take part in their everyday summer routines—from relaxing at the beach to biking into town, joining family dinners, and participating in local events. Explore the outdoors, visit colorful harbors, experience “midsommer” traditions, and discover why Danes are some of the happiest people in the world. If you’re just beginning to learn Danish or are curious about life in Scandinavia, this summer program is a great way to explore the culture up close.

Departures – July 2026 

Cost – $9,600 USD  

The program cost includes:

• Round-trip international airfare from New York to Europe and South Africa, from Miami to Brazil and Argentina, from Los Angeles to Asia/Pacific.
