Canada is a welcoming country known for its stunning natural beauty, diverse communities, and high standard of living. Stretching from remote northern villages to vibrant, modern cities across its ten provinces and three territories, Canada offers an incredible variety of lifestyles, cultures, and landscapes.

As a high school exchange student in Canada, you’ll live with a carefully selected host family and experience daily life the Canadian way—with a touch of European charm. Community involvement and outdoor recreation are essential parts of Canadian life, with opportunities to try ice hockey, skiing, canoeing and biking.

Canada is officially bilingual, with English and French as its two national languages. English-Speaking Canada

Experience the cosmopolitan vibe of cities like Toronto, Calgary, or Vancouver—or venture into the wild beauty of Canada’s vast wilderness. Picture the breathtaking Canadian Rocky Mountains with world-class ski resorts, crystal-clear lakes, or a visit to Toronto’s iconic CN Tower—one of the tallest free-standing structures globally.
Here, you’ll enjoy immersing yourself in a new culture while feeling comfortable within a shared language. School and family life in your Canadian host community will be welcoming and easy to adapt to, making your exchange experience exciting and reassuring.

French-Speaking Canada

Savor the rich and distinctive French Canadian culture, a unique blend of French heritage and North American spirit. You’ll come to appreciate the warmth, charm, and sophistication of the “Québécois” as you perfect your French in an immersive environment.

Considered the birthplace of North American history, Québec City is the only walled city on the continent, radiating an old-world European feel. You might live near Montréal—the second-largest French-speaking city after Paris—or in a cozy cottage in a picturesque village. In this region, English is the second language, and the culture remains proudly and unmistakably French. By the end of your stay, you’ll return home bilingual, speaking French with the fluency and confidence of native francophone Canadians.
